We manufacture several types of compact Faraday Cages,
originally designed for our BLM experimental systems but also suitable
for a variety of electrophysiological application. All of them provide excellent
screening of electromagnetic interference and dramatically improve
signal to noise ratio in BLM or cellular electrical recordings. Two basic
configurations are standard: A -"wardrobe" type enclosure with two doors; B - "chest" type box with top
opening. Enclosures are mounted
on an aluminum base plates either blank or with a number of treaded holes
on a square pattern, providing great flexibility for installing system components.
Walls are either traditional - solid aluminum (~1.5 mm
= 1/16") or composite - aluminum foil over expanded plastic (1/4" = 6 mm
thick). Both materials provide approximately same degree of electromagnetic
screening but composite walls provide better thermal and acoustic barrier.
Part numbers and features of our standard Faraday Cages are listed in the
table below. When ordering please make sure that blank base is OK
for you. Otherwise select one of the compatible bases ask
for a quote. We
can also make customized Faraday Cages (different size, holes were necessary,
added thermal/acoustic insulation, specific color, etc.), please inquire.
